When you think of Fendi, I'm guessing you wouldn't think of bright colors, jumpsuits, blue shoes, the "cappuccino effect," pencil-shaving designs, gold straps, crisp white dresses, the color orange....

But this is Karl Lagerfeld we're talking here.

I guess he felt like spicing it up, for really no particular reason except for his own amusement.

WHAT IS THIS CAPPUCCINO EFFECT IN WHICH YOU SPEAK?

Basically its those yellow dots on look #3, but if you get really close to them you can see that they're little holes patched up with yellow string.

You see, if you were seeing this from the seats of a show, you wouldn't see the little holes.

So I guess KL just wanted to know how awesome he is with the little yellow dots.

Fashion's Night Out was AH MAZIN.

First we waited for 2 hours at Ralph to see...

but then some security guard informed us that

we beat it out of there to 7 for all Mankind across the street and ate the cute little cookies.

Then went to Madison to see what was going on.

ANSWER: not a whole lot.

BUT, ALAS....

we had officially pronounced FNO a fail because we hadn't seen anything.

So we decided to make NANETTE LEPORE our last stop.

IM GLAD WE DID.

because GUESS WHO WAS THERE.

I have to admit I didn't go last year, probably because I didn't have a subscription to Teen Vogue back then and therefore didn't have any access to COOL STUFF.

This year I plan to hike down to the Ralph Lauren in SoHo for Ralph's version of FNO.

Wowie I am so excited... I am probably going to end up writing ANDRE LEON TALLEY all over my school assignments that day.
