Obsession post time! I don't really read the newspaper, but a giant life-like portrait of Marc Jacobs ought to get your attention.

The Post Post

I haven't posted in a zillion years. No explanation for that, I just felt like pointing out the obvious.

So apparently wedges and SUPER high heels are in, two trends that I am NOT willing to succumb to. Also, Tommy Ton took a bunch of new pictures for style.com, you should check them out.

Right now, style.com is LUH-VING classics (wooden heels, hardware, riding boots.... I can TOTALLY SEE how those are classic), super-luxe EVERYTHING (studded mules, crystalized clutches, you get the point), and exotic skins (faux for me, please).

I've decided to use this here space just to WRITE. What I am going to write remains to be seen, which is a bad sign. SO here we go.

My recent trip to Aspen deepened my obsession with J.Crew just a little bit more because at the little shop they had in Aspen, up on the mannequin (along with piles of gold and polka-dots AND tweed [duh, JC]) there was a BRIGHT YELLOW SCARF. I didn't buy it because it was the sort of thing Michael Jackson could wear. Enought said.

I need some inspiration for nail polish colors. I just had purple on my toes, then it got chipped and bleh, so I took it off and can't look down at my feet now because they are especially void of color. That BOTHERS me. I'm thinking nude-ish, that way if it chips it doesn't look that bad.

Sephora by O.P.I. in I Need Space is great, but it's actually more of a nude-y color in real life than online.

Plus, Read my Palm is a great Jade color that highly resembles the super rare >cough EXPENSIVE cough<>

That's it for ramblings for now. I know you're disappointed.

Where's that sweater from?

My recent trip to Aspen deepened my obsession with J. CREW a little bit more, because the little store had everything I could ever want: Bright yellow scarves, ruffles, and mounds of gold jewelry.

I actually have no idea who designs for J.CREW, but I bet it's more that one person. Beyond that, I'm stumped.

I love J.CREW. Like that wasn't obvious.

Yesterday I was browsing Tavi's Pop Blog and I found these DOLLS THAT WERE SO UNBELIEVABLE!!! Andrew Yang, a doll-maker, made these little dolls with tiny little designer fashions on them. My faves were the CDG and MJ dolls:

FUZZY WOLLY MAMMOTH-BEAR THING....

Surprisingly, the mountains of fur KL used this season were fake.

So animal lovers everywhere... rest easy.

The show wasn't all fuzzy jumpsuits, though.... It was mostly (fake) fur weaved or somehow incorporated into jackets and skirts. Allons-nous jeter un oeil?

I. LOVE. THIS. (below) I would wear this to a party or something... if I had a party to go to... Hey KL, do you mind making this dress, oh, 30-ish dollars? THAT WOULD BE GREAT, thanks...

Oh, one more thing..... SOME OF THE HEELS OF THE SHOES WERE LITERALLY ICE. ICE... ICE.
